| Saturday Professional Development Workshops in Arts Education at the Music Center 2008-2009
The Music Center 2008-09 series of four Saturday workshops is designed for teachers and school colleagues who are participating in Arts Capacity Team (ACT) projects to follow-up the summer Institute for Educators experience.
We encourage additional teachers from current ACT schools and teachers and colleagues from previous Institutes who want to build their knowledge and skill in teaching Music and Mime within the classroom curriculum to attend. The Saturday Workshops are open to teachers who have not attended the Institute or Professional Development Partnerships as space permits.
The series features hands-on workshops that are linked to Model Lessons designed around the brilliant musical story of "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev – one of the most appreciated classical works of the 20th century. Model Lessons will be posted on the Music Center web site.
Enroll in this series and increase your capacity to teach arts concepts and skills using enduring themes and big ideas to connect Lessons to other curriculum.
